There is a touch up session that we schedule 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment. In this appointment we refine and fine tune your colour and shape.

After your touch up, you it depends on how vibrant you like the colour to be and how long it lasts for your skin type.

Most clients experience minimal discomfort as a numbing agent is applied before and during the procedure. Sensitivity varies from person to person.

Your Cosmetic Tattooist will go over the full aftercare process with you in treatment, but here’s a quick breakdown:

• After the treatment, you’ll just have to blot your brows dry for the first 1-2 hours.
• Then morning and night – use the provided gentle cleanser and wipe them clean with a damp cotton pad. Apply your Vitamin A&E Aftercare Ointment as needed until the flakies have all fallen off naturally.
• After any scabs have fallen off, your lips will go into a “Ghost Phase”. This is where they will look slightly lighter and patchy while the skin fully heals (2 weeks). Once the skin has healed, the colour of your brow tattoo comes back through.
• Once the scabs are off, you can apply makeup to the area if required.

Yes! Your artist will work with you to design a shape and choose color that compliments your natural features, and preferences.

Those who are:

• Pregnant
• Breastfeeding
• Prone to keloids
• Have a compromised immune system
• Suffer from Lupus
• Have undertaken any Chemotherapy in the last 6 months (need approval letter from doctor)
• Have diabetes (need approval letter from doctor)
• On Accutane treatment

If you have EVER previously had a Cold Sore, preventative medication MUST be taken – administered by your GP and taken within the correct time frame prior to treatment (3-5 days typically).
Otherwise your service will NOT be completed.
Trauma from a Lip Tattoo can provoke a first outbreak, or reactivate a dormant infection.
If you are unsure that you have ever suffered a Cold Sore, taking preventative medication is in your best interest. BOCAJ Beauty does not take responsibility for failing to follow the above protocol.

Your artist will carefully design your lip shape with your approval before tattooing. Minor adjustments can be made during a touch-up session after healing.

Your tattoo to begin with will look a lot more saturated and fierce in colour. Remember that your lips will heal about 40-60% lighter, and they will reduce in size as well (swelling sometimes does occur during treatment).

A non-refundable $50 deposit is required to secure your booking. This fee will be deducted from the cost of the service at your appointment.

When you schedule an appointment with us, you reserve a time in our busy calendar, which means that time slot is unavailable for others. If you do not cancel your appointment at least 48 hours in advance or fail to show up, you will be charged the full cost of the appointment.

PLEASE NOTE if you choose to get a service that requires less amount of time than what you have booked in for you will still be required to pay the full amount for the originally chosen appointment time on the day.

Occasionally, unexpected things come up for us too! If that happens, we may need to swap your preferred team member with another skilled beauty artist. We hope that’s cool!

Our artists reserve the right to refuse or stop your service (even mid-treatment) should we feel that there is any form of danger to us or disrespectful/hateful speech is being used toward us.
